The Montrose Community Foundation administers several scholarship funds which assist in putting higher education within reach of area youth. These scholarship funds placed with the Foundation are unique in their structure and eligibility criteria.
Currently, we are not accepting applications for any scholarships. Please check back in January 2016 for details, deadlines and applications.
Scholarship Recipients 2014/2015

Through an objective application process, the Foundation works with local service clubs and families to identify well-deserving students who would benefit greatly from these scholarships. The Foundation is pleased to announce the following recipients:
Clayton Beutler, a 2014 graduate of Montrose High School received the Ada M. White and Luther B. White Memorial Scholarship. He will be attending his second year at The University of Colorado Boulder to study Environmental Engineering.
Caitlin O’Meara a graduate of Montrose High School, was awarded the Ken and Marlene Townsend Scholarship, the San Juan Coloradans for Nebraska Scholarship as well as a scholarship from the Montrose Rotary Club. She will attend the Colorado School of Mines to study engineering with a career goal of being a Doctor or Lawyer.
Franklin Eccher, a graduating senior from Montrose High School was awarded the Ken Gale Chamber of Commerce Scholarship as well as the Montrose Rotary Club Scholarship. He will attend Yale University in the fall to study Political Science and pursue a career in Campaign Management or Political Analysis.
Sara Gladding a graduate of Montrose High School has been awarded a scholarship from the Montrose Rotary Club. She will be attending Colorado Mesa University to study Mechanical Engineering.
Rebekah Shearer a graduating senior from Montrose High School was awarded a scholarship from the Montrose Rotary Club. She will be attending Colorado Mesa University to study Exercise Science with the career goal of being a Physical Therapist.
Daniel Granberg a graduate of Montrose High School received the Phil Trumbo Memorial Scholarship. He will attend Princeton University in the fall to study Mathematics and Physics to become a professor.
Zhado Trumbo a graduating senior from Montrose High School received the San Juan Coloradans for Nebraska Scholarship. She will attend Colorado State University to study Psychology with a career goal of becoming a Clinical Psychologist.
Victoria Riggs, a graduating senior from Fruita Monument High School was awarded the Squint and Juanita Moore Scholarship. She will attend Eastern Washington University to pursue Anthropology.
Alyssa Arellano, a Montrose High School graduate was awarded the Montrose Rotary Club Scholarship. She will attend Colorado Mesa University in the fall and will study Biology.
