Breast Cancer Support Endowment
This fund supports families who have or are battling breast cancer.  Through grants from this component fund, children of parents afflicted with breast cancer are supported in a myriad of ways.  To learn more about this fund, please call, write, or email the Foundation.

HopeWest Endowment
HopeWest is dedicated to profoundly changing the way our community experiences serious illness and grief – one family at a time. Since HopeWest opened in 1993, they have helped thousands of families through the final phase of a loved one’s life. Today, as the only nonprofit hospice serving the Western Slope, they care for patients in Mesa, Delta, Montrose and Ouray Counties as well as Plateau Valley and DeBeque. Montrose Therapeutic Riding Center
The Montrose Therapeutic Riding Center’s mission is to enhance the lives of those with disabilities and their families by nurturing the minds and bodies of individuals through structured interactions with equine companions. Substance Abuse Fund
The Montrose Community Foundation administers a Substance-Abuse Grant Program funded through the generous donation from a private donor.  In the past, the fund has provided scholarships to the Grand Junction Salvation Army Treatment Center for local individuals who have repeated criminal justice offenses.  The Foundation has received assistance in this process through the Montrose District Attorney, District 7 Probation Office, and the Public Defender who select the eligible candidates as an alternative to a prison sentence.
